Homestays are the best option to experience the culture and learn more about local people. This is highly recommended for students who want to be immersed in the Irish life style, with home cooking and the opportunity to practice the language through conversation. The student can also experience living in a typical environment, which will enrich their knowledge of the local culture.
Host Families live in the suburbs away from Dublin city centre close to public transport services. It is necessary for all students to travel to school by public transport. We advise all students to expect a journey time of at least 40 minutes.
Single or twin room, shared family bathroom, light laundry facilities. Host families also provide ‘half board', meaning breakfast and an evening meal, Monday to Friday, and breakfast, small lunch and evening meal on Saturday and Sunday. Special request (dietary, pets, children etc) must be made at the time of the initial booking.
Our houses are intended for individuals who really want to enjoy the student accommodation experience. All of our residences are located in safe areas of the city and most of them are close to the College. These residences are well equipped with all standard conveniences such as TV, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, cooker and central heating. Free broadband Internet access. Our student residences are outsourced.
Most of our houses / apartments are located within walking distance of Dublin city centre (20 - 40 minutes on foot). Other accommodation is within 40 minutes by public transport or by bicycle. ISE do not guarantee availability in central accommodation.

Host Family shared room full board - 3 meals (breakfast, packed lunch and dinner). All students will be placed in homestays and the 2 main meals of the day are included 7 days a week. Our homestays are carefully selected and are accustomed to hosting students - this is what makes it a better choice of accommodation for our students as the families are experienced in handling issues and needs as they arise.
Distance from School: Host families' homes are usually in neighbourhoods a little further from the city centre and close to public transport services. Travel time to school is usually around 60 minutes by bus or train.

We are looking for friendly and welcoming families who live in Waterford to accommodate our international adult and junior students throughout the year.
Staying with a local host family is an ideal way for our students to practice English outside of the classroom and we always encourage our students to choose this option.
Hosting international students will expose you to new cultures and traditions. Our students often become life-long friends with their host families.
We request that our host families provide clean single, twin or triple bedrooms which include a wardrobe, study desk and comfortable bed(s). They also provide shower facilities on a daily basis and meals.
Our host families are Garda vetted (Police checked) and we look after this application process on your behalf as part of the onboard process.
Our international students attend English classes in our schools and ISE Ireland also organises a full social and cultural programme each week. This programme includes afternoon activities and weekend trips.
